Slugfest Registration

Slugfest 2024

What is Slugfest?
Slugfest is a family-friendly, exciting, hitting/skills contest held once per year for all of our players with no registration fee required to play. Per Little League rules, this is the main fundraiser for CRNAA, but it's more than a fundraiser. The kids really look forward to this event to showcase their talents with their friends in a day of friendly competition.
All are welcome to this fun day of community at the fields. In addition to the competition, we will also have Raffle baskets with some really enticing items and food from the snack shack available as well.
When and Where is 2024 Slugfest?
CRNAA's Slugfest will be held on Saturday May 11, 2024 from 8am - 4:30pm at Chandler Park (155 South Sycamore Street, Newtown). The schedule will be posted as we get closer to the event date.
Why Participate in Slugfest?
CRN Little League has over 500 kids in the Newtown/Upper Makefield area that participate in Little League Baseball. With your support these kids have the opportunity to play baseball and the league can continue to make improvements to the playing facilities, including the fields, dugouts and equipment. In order to make these improvements, we need everyone’s support to make Slugfest a success since this is our main opportunity to raise funds and make this fun event memorable for our players.
2024 Slugfest and Skills Challenge - How do you play?
Slugfest - all players in the American, National and Major divisions will complete with their respective teams in a hitting competition (“Slugfest”) with each player will get 20 pitches to score points individually and for their team. Players who hit at least 1 homerun are eligible for the Homerun Derby held later in the afternoon.
Skills Challenge - for the younger players in Tee-Ball and Coach Pitch (Rookie), there will be a Skills Challenge featuring hitting, throwing, and running events.
To participate in the event, we ask that you register. Coaches received Slugfest sponsorship collection tracking envelopes that should have been distributed with uniforms. The goal is for each slugger to raise $100.
Prizes - What can I win?
Fundraising Prizes
- By raising $100 or more you qualify for the exclusive Slugfest T-shirt.
- Overall Top Fundraiser and Top Fundraisers from each division will also be awarded with cool prizes!
Competition Prizes
- Top 3 winners from the Slugfest Competition and Top 3 winners from the Home Run Derby for each division (American, National and Majors) win Trophies!
- Top 3 winners from both Tee-Ball and Rookie in each Skills Challenge will receive medals.
Team Prizes
In addition, the teams with the most points in each division (American, National and Majors) win a team party and the teams with the most funds raised in each division (American, National and Majors) also win a team party!
No fee is required to play but we recommend every participant raise money to help support the league (goal of $100 per player).
